Bayer Leverkusen – Stuttgart 29.11.2009

November 28th, 2009 Comments off

LeverkusenBetting tips soccerStuttgart

Leverkusen last 5 league matches:  draw draw draw win draw

Leverkusen last 2 home matches:  win drawwin

Stuttgart last 5 league matches:  lost lost draw draw draw

Stuttgart last 3 away matches: win lost draw

Table positions: Leverkusen -1, Stuttgart -16

Leverkusen home table position: 2

Stuttgart away table position: 16

Still leading the German Bundesliga by the slightest of margins
before this day 14 started, Bayer Leverkusen will face a struggling
Stuttgart this Sunday.

What strikes about these 2 teams in the large number of matches that
they finished in draws in the latest period and this is especially true
for Leverkusen witch has fished 4 out of the past 5 matches played in
the league in draws.

The team has a very good record at home, second only to Mainz, with 4
victories and 2 draws in the 6 games they have played and a superb goal
statistic of 12 scored and only 2 conceded.

Stuttgart struggles in the relegation zone of the Bundesliga with
only 11 points in 13 matches played and no victories in the past 6
league games.

One positive factor for them may be the victory obtained in the
Champions League away to Celtic this week and with it chances of
advancing in the competition, in total contrast with their status in the
domestic league.

My pick: Leverkusen to win

Werder Bremen – Wolfsburg 28.11.2009

Werder BremenBetting tips soccerWolfsburg

Werder last 5 league matches:  win win draw draw win

Werder last 2 home matches:  win windraw

Wolfsburg last 5 league matches:  win draw draw win lost

Wolfsburg last 3 away matches: draw draw win

Table positions: Werder -2, Wolfsburg -8

Werder home table position: 6

Wolfsburg away table position: 5

An important match in the German Bundesliga configuration at the top
of the table as Werder Bremen trails leaders Leverkusen by only one
point and last season’s champions, Wolfsburg, seem to have regained some
of their strength in the last few rounds.

Werder Bremen is in good form in the competition, with only one game
lost so far and that in the very first round of the new season at home
with Frankfurt.

Their statistics at home and away are balanced and the team is
performing well on both fronts. On the home pitch they managed to obtain
3 victories so far, ended in draws 2 matches against Hannover and
Borussia Dortmund and lost that single game of the campaign.

Wolfsburg has a slow start to the campaign with no less than 3
straight defeats in the first 5 matches played but managed to pull their
act together for the next rounds to regain some of the lost ground.

Although their record in away matches is decent the goal statistic is
poor with 8 scored and 7 conceded and further more their last match of
the competition home with 14th Nurnberg was a total disappointment as
they lost 2-3.

My pick: Werder Bremen to win

Doesn’t time fly? We are already more than a third of the way
through the Premiership season and whilst there is no surprise that
Chelsea and Man Utd once again dominate the Premiership table, there
have been some shocks so far.

Surely no one could have predicted how poorly Liverpool would perform
this season. The
Bookmakers think there is a good chance that they
will fail to even make it into the top four this season, they are around
the same odds as Man City to finish in the Champions League places and
they seem to have a 50:50 chance at the moment, although you would have
to say Spurs are not without a chance as well. Results over the New Year
will be key for all three sides.

Burnley have shocked many this season, they have obviously looked at
Stoke last season, who stayed up because of a great home record, and
they have turned Turf Moor into a similar fortress. With some very poor
teams in the Premiership this season it is hard to see them going down
and the bookies make Portsmouth, Hull and Wolves all more likely to
suffer the drop than Burnley.

Normally by this stage in the season there have been several
managerial casualties in the Premiership so it was a bit of a surprise
it was late November by the time the first head rolled this season. It
seemed Paul Hart had turned a corner with Portsmouth and the bookies
agreed, they had Phil Brown as favorite to be Next Premiership Manager
To Leave when the announcement came that Paul Hart had been relieved of
his duties. Expect two or three more sackings before the Premiership
season is over.

Manchester Utd. – Besiktas 25.11.2009

Manchester UnitedBetting tips soccerBesiktas

Manchester last 5 matches:  win win draw Lost win

Manchester last 3 home matches: win draw win

Besiktas last 5 matches: win win Lost win win

Besiktas last 3 away matches: draw win win

Manchester United has already assured itself a place in the knock out
stage after the 3-3 draw against CSKA Moscow and with this match in
mind against Besiktas their aim is to secure the pop spot of Group B.

With 10 points in total in the group, Manchester sit 3 points higher
than second VfL Wolfsburg, the only team that is still in the race to
lay claim to the top spot.

The English side could welcome back Bulgarian Striker Dimitar
Berbatov after an injury for this clash but still have some problems in
defense with Rio Ferdinant and Jonny Evans absent and with John O’Shea
and Gary Neville absent in the morning training adding up to Edwin van
der Sar.

Besiktas is last in the group with only one point gathered from all 4
matches played from a goalless draw away to Wolfsburg.

They stand little chances of claiming the third spot that will lead
to the Europa League and with such a difficult trip to last year’s
finalist their hopes for a positive result are slim.

My tip: Manchester United to win

AC Milan – Marseille 25.11.2009

AC MilanBetting tips soccerOlympique Marseille

*matches in all competitions

AC Milan last 5 matches:  draw win draw win win

AC Milan last 3 home matches: win draw win

Marseille last 5 matches: win draw win draw win

Marseille last 3 away matches: win win draw

Group C in the Champions League has proven to be one of the toughest
for the participating teams and although AC Milan lead the chart at the
moment, a defeat here against Olympique Marseille can mean their
elimination.

Milan and Real Madrid have 7 points in total, one more than Marseille
and with a difficult trip for the Italian squad in the last lag to
Zurich this match may prove crucial.

On the other hand by claiming all 3 points against Marseille, AC
Milan will be qualified for the knock out phase and with a good chance
to the top spot when the line is drawn.

Marseille is determined to fight it’s battle until the end and with
only 1 point separating them from the 2 European giants and the decisive
match against Real Madrid on home ground they have a pretty good chance
to advance.

Their form in the last period is good with 6 games now without losing
and a strong presence in away matches, the last one being the 5-5 draw
against Lyon in the Ligue 1.

My tip: AC Milan to win
