The Group A in the Europa League will host the biggest clash of this round as Manchester City welcomes Juventus on Thursday.

Manchester City approaches  this match with sky high morale after defeating Chelsea in the Premier League this weekend but a very though match awaits them against the Italian giants.

They already booked a victory in the group stages, 0-2 away to Salzburg and look favorite along with Juventus to grab the top spot and qualify further.

Juventus is alternating spectacular victories with awful results on all fronts in this start of the season but one thing is constant, their poor defensive, something totally uncharacteristic for the Italian team.

As their opponents, they are entering this big match after a victory in the domestic league, a 4-2 win over Cagliari in the weekend but their offensive will encounter the toughest opponent yet.

My pick:  Manchester City to win ( under 2.5 goals )

Group I of the Europa League tournament and both Sampdoria and Debrecen are looking for their first victory in the competition.

Sampdoria is not showing a good form on all fronts, no victories for them in the last 5 matches in all competition, capitalizing 4 draws and one defeat.

This reflects in the Europa League as well with only a one all draw in the first round away to PSV. They are in need of a morale boosting victory and the fans are eager for their team to brake the downward spiral.

Debrecen is a new addition to the competition, most likely a candidate for the last spot of the group, the Hungarian team is showing a even worst form than their adversaries.

They where defeated in the first round by Metalist of Ukraine with an embarrassing 0-5 scoreline matching their overall form of 4 defeats in the last 5 matches played in all competitions.

My pick:  Sampdoria to win ( over 2.5 goals )

In Group F on the Europa League, CSKA Moscow is by far the favorite team to grab the top spot and advance into the competition and by welcoming Sparta Praha this Thursday they have a good chance of adding 3 more points to their record.

CSKA Moscow had no problem in the first found of the group stage and passed Lausanne Sport by 3 goal to null in a superb away display.

Their are in a very good form both in the European tournament and in the domestic league with 4 victories out of the past 5 matches played and especially on home ground where they won the last 4 played.

Sparta Praha managed quite a surprise in the first round by defeating favorites Palermo in a spectacular match that ended 3-2. They are now second to CSKA in the group only by goal differential.

They sit on the third spot in the Czech Liga but their recent form is impressive both at home and in away matches.

My pick:  CSKA Moscow to win ( under 2.5 goals )

Group A matches in the Champions League playing on Wednesday with raining title holders Internazionale Milan welcoming the spectacular Werder Bremen.

With both round one matches ending in draws there is nothing separating the teams so far as all 4 total 1 point. Inter finished in a 2 all draw away to Twente in the first round with all 4 goals scored in the first half.

Home pitch will certainly prove to be an advantage for the Italian champions and their record proves it with 2 vicories in the last 2 matches played on Stadio Giuseppe Meazza.

As their opponents, Werder Bremen managed a 2 all draw against Tottenham Hotspurs in the first round but this time on home ground making the outcome a poor one.

They started the match poorly and where 2 down by the 18th minute but they managed to grab one back before half time and the equalizer in the second. Their form in the past weeks has been rather poor with the team suffering to consecutive defeats in the Bundesliga only to improve on their morale with a 3-2 victory over Hamburger SV in the weekend.

My pick:  Inter to win ( under 2.5 goals )

After a superb start in Group F of the Champions League, Arsenal will face a new and harder test away to Partizan Belgrade this Tuesday.

Partizan Belgrade is at their first presence in the group stages of UCL since 2003 and their start was not as they expected with a 1-0 defeat away to Shakhtar.

The long absence from the top European tournaments is a big handicap for them and their statistic in the Serbian league is not at all relevant when faced with opposition such as Arsenal. One big advantage will certainly be the packed stadium they will play on as their fanatic supporters will create a huge pressure.

Arsenal got off to a flying start in the UCL with a 6-0 victory over Braga in the first round showing, as they do in the Premier League, a great appetite for offensive play.

They will miss some of their top player in this difficult trip and their defeat at the hands of West Bromwich Albion this weekend will certainly raise some flags.

My pick:  Arsenal to win ( over 2.5 goals )
