Second day in the 2010 World Cup and trophy candidate Argentina will face Nigeria in one of the 3 matches on Saturday.
High expectations from the Argentina squad and it’s star player Lionel Messi. Although without great performances and results in the South American qualifiers, they are regarded as one of the top 5 favorites to claim the ultimate trophy in world football.
The friendly matches results have brought the fans much to hope for as except the defeat suffered against Spain they managed to win the rest of 5 including an important morale boost from a 1-0 victory against Germany.
Facing such a though opposition, Nigeria looks to stand little chances for a positive result but bare in mind that they are arguably one of the best teams of the continent with a long tradition of World Cup participations.
The team easily won their qualifying group with only Tunisia as a decent opponent with 3 victories and 3 draws in 6 played but some gaps showed in their recent friendlies leading to the tournament.
My tip: Argentina to win (3-1 scoreline)
