With both teams winning their starting matches in the World Cup, Argentina will no doubt have a very challenging game against South Korea on Thursday.
Struggling past Nigeria with only one goal to make the difference, Argentina showed strength and a very good group play above all. Maradona’s team focused more on the final result that on spectacle and the victory against Nigeria is certain to put them in the driver’s seat in Group B.
It’s star player, Lionel Messi failed to produce the football all expected and Argentina’s strong point, at least in the match against Nigeria was it’s exact defensive.
South Korea now top the group after the 2-0 victory against Greece. Although retarded as an outsider, Korea managed to play a spectacular match against the former Euro champions and dominated the match from start to finish.
Front their first encounters I believe this will not be a match with lots of goals but more of a physical challenge, a chapter in which both excel. Although I expect Argentina to claim the victory here and solve the qualification to the next phase in the pursuit for the title, they will most likely have difficulties in reaching the Korean goal.
My tip: Argentina to win (under 3.5 goals, 1-0 score)
