Bundesliga table positions: Leverkusen - 6, Hoffenheim - 9

Start of round no 15 in the German Bundesliga on Friday with Bayer Leverkusen welcoming Hoffenheim for what is expected to be a close and challenging match.

Bayer Leverkusen currently on the 6th spot of the Bundesliga table with a total of 22 points in all 14 games played and a goal balance of just +1.

They managed only a 3 all draw last week away to Hertha BSC, ending up seven points below leaders and champions Borussia Dortmund but with intense pressure from it’s followers.

Hoffenheim is experiencing a though phase as they failed to win any of their last four game played, falling in consequence to the 9th position in the chart with a total of 18 points.

No better luck for them in away matches as they lost their past three matches against reputable adversaries, scoring only one goal whilst conceding seven.

My pick:  Bayer Leverkusen to win ( over 2.5 goals )

Bayern last 3 away matches: drawlosswin

Bundesliga table positions: Mainz - 16, Bayern - 3

Pressure mounting at the top of the German Bundesliga for Bayern Munchen especially as they face a difficult trip to Mainz 05 on Sunday.

Mainz is far from last season’s performances and after Friday and Saturday matches they hold a precarious 16th spot in the Bundesliga table with a total of 12 points but only 12 matches played so far.

Only two victories for them in the past 12 games played in all competition but a slight rise in form in recent ones and although Bayern is the favorite, Mainz has a good chance to restore it’s confidence.

Bayern Munchen, on the top spot of the league before this leg started, now on the third place as both Borussia Dortmund and Monchengladback have one point advantage.

Five victories in their last 6 played including a 3-1 win over Villarreal this week in the Champions League puts them in the driver’s seat for this match.

My pick:  Bayern Munchen to win ( over 2.5 goals )

Serie A table positions: Borussia Dortmund - 2, Schalke - 4

A very exciting game in the German Bundesliga on Saturday as raining champions Borussia Dortmund welcome the ever dangerous Schalke 04.

Borussia Dortmund seems to be back in form and even if they lost their last match played, this week away to Arsenal in the Champions League, they managed to advance considerably in the Bundesliga table in recent weeks.

Great form for them in home matches as well as Borussia Dortmund managed no less than five consecutive victories in recent games, with a strong offensive force and a defensive to match.

Schalke 04 is close by, with a current total of 25 points, they are just one bellow their adversaries and just three from leaders Bayern Munchen.

Great form for them this time in away games, managing four victories and a draw in the latest played, apparently with an emphasis on defense.

My pick:  Borussia Dortmund to win ( over 2.5 goals )

Sunday in the Bundesliga with two games left of the 11th round of the competition, among one the duel between Hamburger SV and Kaiserslautern.

Hamburg with a very poor display of strength so far in the season, managing only 8 points in all 10 games played and more striking a goal balance of -10.

It may be hard to believe but Hamburg failed to win any of their 5 games played at home in the Bundesliga as they gathered only 2 points in 2 draws and lost the remaining 3.

Kaiserslautern in a slightly better shape that their opponents as they stand on the 14th spot of the table, 3 points above their current opponents.

A good form showed by them in recent matches as they managed two consecutive victories in the Bundesliga and advanced into the DFB Pokal defeating Eintracht this week.

Round 10 in the German Bundesliga with raining champions Borussia Dortmund taking to the field on Saturday as they host FC Koln.

Borussia Dortmund suffered yet another defeat in the Champions League this week as they traveled to Olympiakos, 3-1 the final score, making their chances of qualifying very low with Marseille and Arsenal in already ahead.

Three consecutive victories for the in the Bundesliga have boosted them up to the third spot of the table with a current total of 16 points in 9 games played.

FC Koln, although only on the 10th spot of the Bundesliga table, are just 3 points below their current adversaries and managing to achieve some surprising results thus far.

A 2-0 victory against Hannover 96 last week gave the team a much needed morale boost after their embarrassing performance against Herta in the previous game.
