With round 9 of the Bundesliga underway, last match scheduled on Saturday as Schalke 04 welcome Kaiserslautern.

Schalke 04 seem to have recovered after a poor start to the new campaign, especially when compared to their aspirations after the summer transfers.

They are now on the 4th spot of the table with a total of 15 points, 4 below leaders Bayern Munchen and two from second in line Werder Bremen. With 3 straight victories in the last 3 played, Schalke’s morale should be high and a home match is always the venue for a spectacle.

Kaiserslautern on the other hand is only on the 16th spot of the charts, managing so far to gather only 5 points in all 8 played, slipping precariously in the danger zone.

They managed to win just one match in this season of the Bundesliga and lost no less than 5 reaching a -7 goal balance.

After the thrill of the Euro 2012 preliminaries, the domestic leagues are back, Bundesliga opening the show on Friday with a very interesting fixture as Werder Bremen welcome raining champions Borussia Dortmund.

Werder Bremen showing a fine form so far in the competition as they stand on a honorable 2nd spot in the Bundesliga table, 3 points below leaders Bayern Munchen.

They’ve lost their last match in the competition away to Hannover 96 with a 3-2 scoreline, showing yet again their offensive strength as well as their weakness in defense.

Borussia Dortmund is currently on the 6th spot of the chart with a total of 13 points in all 8 played. The team is not out of the title books yet but it’s clear their mission will be much harder compared to the last year.

A clear 4-0 victory against Augsburg gave the team a much needed morale boost in the last round played but still they seem to have big problems whenever playing on the road.

They are one of the top contenders to relegate to the 2. Bundesliga with a very poor defensive that has conceded no less than 14 goals so far in the competition.
