Marching for the Bundesliga trophy, Borussia Dortmund has won a crucial match last week against Bayern Munchen and will now face the difficult FC Koln.

Borussia Dortmund is clear at the top of the Bundesliga table with a total of 58 points in all 24 matches played this season reaching a comfortable 12 point advantage over second Bayer Leverkusen.

Surprisingly they lost some ground on home pitch recently with one victory and 2 draws in the last 3 played here but maintains a decent record of 7 victories and 3 draws in all11 played.

FC Koln showing off a very good form lately in the competition as they managed 3 victories in the last 4 matches played but it’s still mid table and with a total of just 29 points, they sit just 5 points above the relegation zone.

They have the worst away statistic in the Bundesliga this season, managing only one victory and 3 draws in all 12 matches played with 9 goals scored and 18 conceded.

Derby match in the German Bundesliga on Saturday as Bayern Munchen attempt to reduce their handicap from leaders Borussia Dortmund in a direct match.

Bayern entering this match with a very good morale as they managed a very important victory, by the slightest of margins,  this week away to Inter in the Champions League.

They have 4 victories in the last 5 matches played in the Bundesliga and a very good run on home ground proven by their statistic of 8 victoris and 2 draws in all 11played.

Borussia Dortmund, although losing ground lately due to their inconclusive  play, is still 10 points above second Bayer Leverkusen and 13 from thei current rivals, keeping them favorites for the trophy.
