The Italian Serie A is back in action this weekend with two matches to be played on Saturday, last of them Internazionale hosting Parma.

Inter is looking forward to continue their rise in the table as they are currently on the 5th spot of the chart with a total of 26 points, no less than 8 from leaders AC Milan and Juventus.

They managed to stop their downward spiral that lead them to the relegation zone in the beginning of the season and with four straight victories before the short winter break, Inter looks back in business even though they have a huge deficit to fill.

Parma is the underdog of this fixture as they stand on a disappointing 13th spot of the Serie A chart with a total of just 19 points in all 16 matches played, seven points above the relegation zone.

The last of two matches that are played in the Italian Serie A on Tuesday as raining champions AC Milan travel to Cagliari.

Cagliari the clear underdog of this confrontation as they sit on a modest 12th spot in the Serie A table with a total of just 18 points in all 15 games played.

They still have a comfortable advantage over the relegation zone but if their current for does not improve fast they could face an important plunge in the rankings.

AC Milan, on the other hand, are second in the chart with a total of 31 points so far, only two bellow current leaders Juventus and with the prospect of a victory against Cagliari in sight.

By defeating Siena this weekend they managed to stop their two match draw streak and are once again back in the fight for the trophy. Although the 2-0 scoreline may lead to the believe the champions had an easy match against Siena, on the pitch Milan struggled in the offensive department and both of their goals where scored in the second half.

Last match of the round in the Italian Serie A and the only one to be played on Monday as current leaders Juventus travel to a struggling AS Roma team.

As Roma on the 10th spot of the table with a very poor run so far especially when compared to their aspirations. They have a total of just 17 points in all 13 games played and a negative goal balance of -2.

They lost their last two matches in the Serie A, both of them played away, against Udinese and Fiorentina without coring a single goal but conceding a total of 5.
