With round 13 underway in the Italian Serie A, Juventus continues it’s bid for the league trophy with a good chance for all 3 points as they welcome struggling Cesena.

After it’s Saturday game, AC Milan managed to overpower Juventus in the standings and take top spot with one point advantage.

Juventus has a great opportunity to reclaim their leader’s position and although they managed just a 3 all draw last week against Napoli, their overall form is great with superb play and results on home ground so far.

Cesena, on the other hand, started the season with high expectation but with very little to show so far they ended up on a relegation 19th spot with a total of just 9 points in all 12 games played.

A steep rise in form for them as they managed to win their last two matches in the Serie A against Bologna and Genoa with the addition of the Copa Italia victory managed this week.

Sunday in the Serie A with AS Roma welcoming underdogs Lecce in the 11th round of the season.

Roma is currently on the 7th spot of the chart with a total of just 14 points in 10 matches played as they are going through a very challenging streak going head to head with top teams in a short period.

This game will be very important for them in terms of morale especially as Udinese, Fiorentina, Juventus and Napoli will follow closely in next weeks.

Lecce a clear candidate for relegation this season as they managed only 8 points so far, surprisingly the same amount as giants Internazionale but with an inferior goal balance.

They managed to defeat last in line Cesena two weeks ago for a much needed morale boost but it’s hard to see them staying in the Serie A next season as well.

The only match to be played in the Italian Serie A on Thursday as mid table Palermo welcome relegation threatened Lecce counting for the 8th round of the season.

Palermo currently on the 9th spot of the table with a total of just 10 points in 7 games played and a goal balance of -1, a very uncomfortable position especially in such a close and unpredictable competition.

With two defeats in their latest two matches, Palermo is in desperate search for points and if their losses against Milan and Roma where predictable, anything but a victory here would be a surprise.

Lecce on a disappointing 18th spot of the Serie A chart with as little as 4 points gathered in 7 games played, one points from salvation and two from last in line Cesena.

No victories for Lecce in their last 5 matches played in which they suffered 4 defeat and managed one point in a goalless draw against Genoa.

Round seven in the Italian Serie A with Internazionale Milan struggling in the lower part of the board as they welcome Chievo on Sunday.

Inter on a disappointing 17th spot of the league table with a total of just 4 points in all 6 games played, having a single victory to their name against Bologna and a goalless draw against Roma.

It’s no doubt one of the most upsetting starts of any season in the past years, with just a glimmer of hope restored for this match as they managed to defeat Lille in the Champions League this week, giving Inter a much needed morale boost.

Chievo in a slightly better position than their opponents as they hold the 10th spot of the table with a total of 9 points in 6 matches played and a very interesting run so far in the competition as they managed a victory over Napoli and a goalless draw against Juventus last week.

With the season in such an early stage, Chievo’s chances of advancing are great in case of a draw, only 4 points separating them for leaders Juventus.

A very interesting fixture in the Italian Serie A on Saturday with Internazionale Milan currently trailing as they  welcome Napoli.

Inter with a hesitant start to this new season, only on the 16th with a total of just 4 points in 4 matches played.

They managed their first victory in the competition last week away to Bologna and continued their streak this week as they traveled to CSKA Moscow in the Champions League grabbing all 3 points in a very exciting match finished 2-3.

Napoli with a slightly better start in the competition as they gathered 7 points so far, placing them on a respectable 6th spot of the table, just one point below leaders Juventus.

A victory for them as well in the Champions league this week, this time on home ground against Villarreal and Napoli seems to have regained their spot between the top teams after many years of misery.
