With only four round to go in the Spanish Primera Division, Barcelona has virtually no chance to overtake Real Madrid yet they hace a very interesting trip to Rayo Vallecano after Pep Guardiola announced he’s resignation.

Rayo Vallecano can breath easily as they are just three points away from remaining in Spain’s top league. They are currently on a comfortable 15th spot with a total of 40 points.

They have space to advance depending on other results but their biggest drawback is the terrible goal ration showed at the moment -10 and a rather hard remaining schedule.

Barcelona is close to the end of a disappointing season, they are on the second spot of the table with no less than 7 points handicap from Real Madrid and their painful exit from the Champions League this week at the hand of an unworthy Chelsea.

it will be interesting to see how the team copes with the departure from Guardiola and if their spectacular playing style will change.

My pick: Barcelona to win ( Over 2.5 goals )

The match that will certainly draw most of the attention this weekend as FC Barcelona host rivals Real Madrid in El Clásico on Saturday.

Barcelona, as it’s rivals, heading into this game after a painful defeat in the Champions League this week when they lost away to Chelsea, ending a 15 game streak without losses.

With a total of 81 points, Barcelona is four points bellow it’s rival in the Primera Division table and with only five matches to go this season a victory here is a must for them if they are to hold claim to the trophy.

They managed to dominate Real Madrid in their latest matches played between the teams both in tactic and results and Barcelona it highly regarded as the favorite for this one as well in terms of bookies odds.

Real Madrid has a four point advantage over Barcelona in the chart, an advantage that can be diminished to just one point in case of a loss, but also can mean the title in case of a victory.

They as well lost their Champions League match against Bayern but with a scoreline of 2-1, the away goal gives them a better chance of qualifying.

The fact that they are playing this decisive match on Camp Nou will certainly be a great disadvantage for them especially in light or recent results between the teams.

My pick: Barcelona to win ( Under 2.5 goals )

The football festival of this week continues on Thursday with some very interesting fixtures, among them Sevilla welcoming Real Zaragoza in the Spanish Primera Division.

Sevilla regarded as favorite for all three points in this game as the team is on the 8th spot of the table with a total of 42 points and a rather good form in their latest matches.

They suffered a painful defeat last week away to Athletic Bilbao, only by the slightest of margins, putting an end to a three games winning streak so Sevilla is in need of points if they are to stay in the upper part of the chart.

Real Zaragoza with a difficult task ahead, the team is struggling on the 18th spot of the table and faces the real prospect of relegation this season.

Four points separate Zaragoza from salvation and with three victories in their last four played, their battle continues, making every match a potentially decisive one.

My pick: Sevilla to win ( Under 2.5 goals )

Lat match in round 31 of the Primera division, and the only one to be played on Monday as Malaga welcomes Racing Santander.

With Valencia up against a difficult trip to Real Madrid on Saturday, Malaga has a great opportunity to claim the third spot in the table after missing the opportunity last week in their surprising defeat against Real Betis.

Not the best of forms showed by Malaga in recent matches as they managed only two victories in their last five played, alternating clear victories with surprising results.

Racing Santander, on the other hand, is on a disappointing 19th spot of the table, and with a total of just 25 points in all 30 played they are destined to relegate at the end of the season.

No less than 12 matches without victory for Racing Santander, losing four out of their past five played, showing no real signs of recovery or hope.

My pick: Malaga to win ( Under 2.5 goals )

Top class fixture in the Spanish Primera Division on Sunday as leaders Real Madrid welcome third spot Valencia on Santiago Bernabeu.

Real Madrid hopes to maintain their 6 points advantage over rivals Barcelona but have a though match ahead as they have to face Valencia.

Restoring their confidence, Real Madrid managed four straight victories in which they managed to score no less than 18 goals but as well conceded seven, a rather high number for them showing some gaps in defense.

Valencia is still on the third spot of the Primera Division table with a total of 48 points, but with just one point above Malaga they are in serious danger of falling in the rankings.

Only one victory for Valencia in their last five matches played, a 4-0 trashing of AZ Alkmaar in Europa League, allowing them to move further but at the same time affecting their fitness levels.

My pick: Real Madrid to win ( Over 2.5 goals )
