AS Roma – Inter 26 March 10

Roma - Inter 26 March 2010

AS RomaBetting tips soccerInter

Roma last 5 league matches:drawdrawdrawwinwin

Roma last 3 home matches: windrawwin

Inter last 5 league matches: windrawlostdrawwin

Inter last 3 away matches: winlostdraw

Table positions: Roma - 3, Inter -1

Roma home table position: 2

Inter away table position: 1

A very good week so far for Inter as they managed to win over Livorno and Ac Milan stumbled away to Parma but the trip to Roma is certain to put up more problems.

As Roma is in a good shape after wining the last 2 matches of the competition and entering the championship total race as they are on the third spot with a total of 59 points, 4 from the leaders and current opposition, Inter Milan.

They are very strong on home ground with no less than 12 victories so far and 1 draw, losing only 2 in all 15 played and showing a very good goal ratio of 29 scored and 12 conceded, a great appetite for offensive football.

Inter thrashed Livorno this week 3-0 the final score but this match will most certainly cause more problems especially as they will travel to a packed stadium of hostile supporters.

The team still holds the best statistic for away matches in this competition with 7 victories and 5 draws in 15 matches played on other stadiums with a good goal ratio of 27 scored and 15 conceded.

With both teams playing on offense this match will probably be one with many goals and occasions at both posts.

My pick:  AS Roma to win

AS Roma – Udinese 20 March 2010

AS RomaBetting tips soccerUdinese

Udinese last 3 away matches: lostlostdraw

Table positions: Roma -3, Udinese -15

Roma home table position: 2

Udinese away table position: 20

After 3 straight draws in the Italian Serie A, AS Roma are looking to break the dry streak with a victory over struggling Udinese.

Roma is third in the overall standings and with a total of 43 points there’s not much room for them to move in as whatever the outcome of this leg will be, their position is secured and most likely it’s the one they will end the season in.

They have made the home ground a true fortress with few waisted points as they managed no less than 11 victories and 1 draws in 14 played with a very good goal ratio of 25 scored and 10 conceded, only leaders Inter ranking better.

Udinese is showing small steps of improvement from their disastrous season, only on the 15th spot so far and 7 points over the relegation zone. The team’s only reason for confidence is a fairly good home football as in away games the situation is terrible.

They have yet to win any of the matches played whilst traveling managing only 5 points in 5 draws and losing the rest of 9 with an incredible weak goal ratio of only 8 scored and no less than 21 conceded

My pick:  AS Roma to win

AS Roma – Panathinaikos 25 Feb 10

AS RomaBetting tips soccerPanathinaikos

*matches in all competitions

Roma last 5 matches:  win win win Lostwin

Roma last 3 home matches: win win win

Panathinaikos last 5 matches: win win Lost winLost

Panathinaikos last 3 away matches: draw win Lost

Very spectacular dispute in the first leg between the 2 in the Europa League as Panathinaikos managed to win in the ’89 minute 3-2 over a Roma team in a very good form.

So AS Roma is starting out with one goal deficit but this difference is within reach and the overall scoreline makes them favorites to go through as they have 2 away goals.

Nonetheless this was the first team to beat them from October on in all competitions so maybe a change in tactics will appear. The Italian squad will most likely start on offensive from the beginning in search of the goal pushed by their fanatic supporters.

Panathinaikos produced quite a surprise against AS Roma, even though they are a well built squad, their form compared to the opposition made one point from this match a positive result.

They lost their last match played, last week away to PAOK but still lead the Greek championship, 2 points advantage over second Olympiakos. Only one match won in the last 3 played whilst travelling and this dispute will be very hard. They will most likely adopt a defensive tactic and hope to strike on the counter-attack.

My tip:  AS Roma to win

Juventus – AS Roma 23 Jan 10

January 22nd, 2010 Comments off

JuventusBetting tips soccerAS Roma

Juventus last 5 league matches:  lost lost win lost lost

Juventus last 3 home matches:  win lostlost

Roma last 5 league matches:  draw win draw win win

Roma last 3 away matches: win draw draw

Table positions: Juventus -5, Roma -3

Juventus home table position: 13

Roma away table position: 8

Juventus facing a disastrous period in the Italian Serie A with only
one victory and 4 losses in the last 5 played and virtually no chances
left for the championship race. They now have to play against AS Roma
with their future participation in a European tournament on the table.

With their humiliating blow against AC Milan on home ground 0-3
followed by their loss away to Chievo left the “old lady” on the fifth
spot of the table with a total of 33 points, no less than 13 gap from
leaders Inter.

On home pitch they have won 5 out of the 10 matches played with 2
draws and 3 defeats, making one of the poorest records compared to the
other teams and left them with only 17 points from a total of 30
possible and a poor goal ratio of 16 scored and 12 conceded showing less
than one goal scored per game.

AS Roma is in a very good form with 3 victories and 2 draws in the
last 5 played in the Serie A and climbing up considerably to the third
spot of the table 5 points from second AC Milan and only one advantage
from forth Napoli.

It’s hard to consider they will be keeping their spot in case of any
other result but a victory. Their record in away matches is very week
and dominated by draws, no less than 5 in all 10 played and only 2
victories all season long.

My pick: Draw (under 2.5 goals)

AS Roma – Chievo 9 Jan 10

January 8th, 2010 Comments off

AS RomaBetting tips soccerChievo

AS Roma last 5 league matches:  win win draw win draw

AS Roma last 3 home matches:  win winwin

Chievo last 5 league matches:  win win win lost lost

Chievo last 3 away matches: lostwin lost

Table positions: AS Roma -5, Chievo -12

AS Roma home table position: 8

Chievo away table position: 4

AS Roma eager and determined to win their first match of they year
against Chievo after a 2-2 draw earlier this week against Cagliari in
the Italian Serie A.

The home side has showed a good form lately witch allowed them to
move considerably up the table to the current 5th position after their
troubled start to the season.

In overall they are now up to 8 consecutive matches without defeat,
ending 5 of tows in victory. On home ground they now gathered 4 straight
victories with teams like Bologna, Bari, Lazio and Parma and a
statistic of 6 victories and 2 losses in 8 played.

Chievo’s start in the new year is a very challenging one, after this
week’s loss to leaders Inter they are face yet again with a very though
opponent and more will follow as the next rounds will bring them face to
face with Juventus and Lazio not to count Fiorentina in the cup.

With a total of 24 points in 18 matches played, they have built
themselves a good comfort zone of 9 points from the relegation zone and
will certainly produce difficulties in this game as they have showed
great strength in away matches and a very good statistic.

My pick: AS Roma to win
