Table positions: Barcelona -1, Santander -14

Barcelona home table position: -3

Santander away table position: -18

Profiting from Real Madrid’s draw last week in the Primera Division, Barcelona managed to get an important 4 points advantage at the top of the table and expects nothing less than a victory against Racing Santander on Saturday.

Barcelona is in fine form in all competition and especially the domestic league where they are on an incredible 13 victories streak without any signs of slowing the pace.

They turned Camp Nou into a fortress this season as well with no less than 8 victories in all 10 played and an unbelievable goal ratio of no less than 28 scored and only 7 conceded.

Racing santander is in the lower part of the table with a total of just 20 points, only 4 above the relegation zone and a worrying form lately as they failed to win any of the last 4 matches.

One of the poorest away statistics in the Primera belongs to Santander with only one victory and 2 draws in all 10 played.

My pick:  Barcelona to win ( over 2.5 goals )

The quarter finals in the Spanish Copa Del Rey with Barcelona attempting to secure their trophy and welcoming Real Betis for this first match of the round.

Barcelona had some problems in the last stage of the competition as they qualified only due to their away goal against Athletic Bilbao after 2 draws but this fact was due in large proportion by the team’s strategy to rest it’s top players.

No doubt some of their main 11 players will be rested for this match as well but it’s a great oportunity for Barcelona to secure their spot in the semi-finals from this first leg.

Real Betis will little to no chances of qualifying as they met Barcelona but the ambitious team in the second division is going through a fine form, ready to make the stepp to the Primera in the summer.

Their record so far shows a very good form in both home and away matches and by eliminating Getafe in the last round with a superb performance away finished in a 1-3 result, they have proven their determination for the tournament.

My pick:  Barcelona to win ( over 2.5 goals )

Second round of the Primera Division in 2011 with the leaders Barcelona having to travel to a very dangerous Deportivo La Coruna as Real Madrid’s pressure is mounting.

Deportivo La Coruna is only on the 12th spot of the league table with a total of 21 points and it seems there are little chances for them to grab a spot in an European event.

A very modest record on home ground this season as they managed only 3 victories whilst ending 4 matches in draws in all 8 played but with a good goal ratio of 10 scored and only 5 conceded.

Barcelona finished only in a one all draw away to Athletic Bilbao this week in the Copa del Rey but qualified further in the competition. They got of to a great start in the Primera this year as they managed a 2-1 victory against Levante but the main issue facing them seems to be fatigue.

No less than 11 straight victories for them in the competition and a perfect statistic in away matches this season make them as clear favorites for victory.

My pick:  Barcelona to win ( under 2.5 goals )

Levante  last 3 away match: lostlostdraw

Table positions: Barcelona -1, Levante -16

Barcelona home table position: -4

Levante away table position: -16

The new year brings back the Spanish Primera Division action and although there have been some disputes about the date between the players and the league the round is set to begin on the 2nd of January when the current leaders Barcelona welcome Levante on Camp Nou.

Barcelona ended 2010 with a very good performance managing no less than 10 straight victories in the domestic league but is still followed closely by bitter rivals Real Madrid which are just 2 points down the table.

Leaving aside the 2 stumbles from the beginning of the season when they surprisingly lost against Hercules and ended in a one all draw against Mallorca, barcelona made it’s home ground a fortress.

Levante is one of the under performers of the season, currently on the 16 spot the team sits just 2 points above the relegation zone with a glitter of hope in their last matches that they can stay clear of the danger zone.

Only one victory for them in away matches in all 8 played so far in the league and very little hope of grabbing any points from this difficult trip.

My pick:  Barcelona to win ( over 2.5 goals )

Table positions: Barcelona -1, Sociedad -6

Closing match of round 15 in the Spanish Primera division as leaders FC Barcelona welcome a difficult Real Sociedad on Camp Nou.

Barcelona is clear favorite in this home match as they reached an impressive 8 straight victories in the Primera Division but still have a hard time in distancing themselves from their rivals eal Madrid.

Good home performances so far on home pitch with the statistic showing 5 victories and a draw, losing their only match early in the start of the season.

Real Sociedad with a great season so far for the team’s ambitions as they stand on the 6th spot of the table with a total of 22 points but feeling pressure from no less than 4 followers that can take their place in case of a loss.

They have won their last 2 matches played in the competition against Gijon and Bilbao but have very small odds of claiming any points from this trip.

My pick:  Barcelona to win ( over 2.5 goals )
