Wednesday kick’s off the remaining matches in the Champions League, among the Bayern Munchen welcoming Napoli after a one all draw two weeks ago.

Bayern Munchen currently top Group A with a total of seven points after two victories and a draw with the greatest chance of getting the top spot at the end of the stage although Napoli and Manchester city will certainly put up a fight.

Two victories for them in the last two games played, managing to score no less than 10 goals and keep a clean sheet.

Napoli showing some problems after their fine start to the new season. They suffered a painful defeat last week away to Catania, falling on the 5th spot of the table in the Serie A.

Five points for Napoli so far in the Champions League group, two draws against Bayern and Manchester City and a victory against Villarreal.

Bundesliga on Saturday with round seven of the new season underway and the closing match of the day as Bayern Munchen welcome Bayer Leverkusen.

Bayern Munchen showing off a superb for in this start of the season as they top the league chart with a total of 15 points in all 6 played and a superb goal balance of +17.

Straight victories in the last 8 matches they have played, either in the Bundesliga or the Champions League and Bayern has it’s eye on the league trophy and a long participation in the UCL.

Bayer Leverkusen on the other hand sits on the 7th spot of the table with a total of 10 points, five below their current adversaries but with some poor results lately.

Last week was a grim one for them as they lost away to Chelsea in the Champions league 2-0 and them they where surprisingly trashed on home ground by Koln, 1-4 the final score, only to take on the leaders now.

Second day of the first leg in the Champions League group stages as Villarreal welcomes Bayern Munchen on Wednesday in a match that can go either way.

Villarreal with a poor start to the new season as they managed only one point in the Primera division in two played, a humiliating blow from Barcelona in the opening stage 5-0 and a two all draw against Sevilla last week.

They finished fourth in last season’s table and they had to get past OB of Denmark to get in Group A but with the caliber of their adversaries, getting past this stage will be quite an achievement.

Bayern Munchen on the other hand displayed a superb form and although starting the Bundesliga season with a surprising defeat against M’gladback, they now top the table with 12 points in 5 played.

They are strong favorites for one of the top two spots and normally their main opponent will be Manchester City as Napoli and Villarreal should battle it out for the third spot.

Round four of the German Bundesliga with competition giants Bayern Munchen traveling to Kaiserslautern for a very interesting and though fixture.

Kaiserslautern on the 15th spot of the Bundesliga table as they managed to gather only two points from their first three matches played with two draws and a defeat to their record.

Not a good start for them and apparently an uphill battle for them to stay in the top division even from this early stage. Kaiserslautern’s main problem seems to be the offensive compartment which managed only two goals so far whilst their defense seems to cover the gaps efficiently.

Bayern Munchen favorite for the victory even if this trips is set to be very challenging against an opponent that has always placed problems in direct matches with the top teams.

They have managed to put aside the surprising loss from the opening stage to grab two consecutive victories against very powerful opponents and now sit on a honorable 3rd spot of the table, just one point behind the leaders.

Saturday in the Bundesliga with round 3 underway as Bayern Munchen are recovering from their poor start and are now up against Hamburg.

Bayern Munchen with a victory in the last round of the competition when they traveled to a difficult Wolfsburg and managed to grab all points by the slightest of margins, 0-1 the final score.

Their current 11th spot in the table is not at all relevant with so few matches played but their victory in the Champions League preliminaries against Zurich this week gave them a good morale boost to take on their strong opponent.

Hamburg managed only one point in the two games played so far in the Bundesliga, a crushing defeat against champions Borussia Dortmund in the opening stage and a rather surprising draw at home against Hamburg.

Their defensive compartment seems to be their biggest gap with no less than 6 goals conceded in all 3 official matches this season including the DFB Pokal game.
