Bayern MunchenBetting tips soccerHamburger SV

Bayern last 5 league matches: win win win win draw

Bayern last 3 home matches: win winwin

Hamburg last 5 league matches: lost draw draw win draw

Hamburg last 3 away matches: lost draw win

Table positions: Bayern -2, Hamburg -4

Bayern home table position: 2

Hamburg away table position: 5

The derby match of this leg in the German Bundesliga and one of only 2 to be played this Sunday in the competition as Bayern Munchen welcomes Hamburger SV.

After a 9 game winning streak in the domestic league, Bayern Munchen got just one point from their trip to Nurnberg last week as it finished 1-1. When looking at the team’s performance and results lately, Nurnberg looked like an unlikely candidate to stop Bayern and the team lost yet another chance to overcome Leverkusen in the overall table.

Bayern Munchen has yet to lose any matches at home this season but with 8 victories and 4 draws their statistic is not really that impressive, their goal ratio on the other hand is another matter with 25 scored and 9 conceded looking very strong on offense.

Hamburg is on the 4th spot of the BUndesliga table with a current total of 40 points, 9 behind their current adversaries and with little room to work with his week as third Schalke sits 5 points from them. Their main threat is Borussia Dortmund which trail them by only one point.

They have a very modest statistic in away matches as they won 4, ended no less than 6 in draws and lost 1 to Dortmund showing a goal record of 25 scored and 16 conceded revealing an emphasis on attach which leaves gaps in defense.

My pick:  Bayern Munchen to win

Hamburger SVBetting tips soccerEintracht Frankfurt

Hamburg last 5 league matches: win lost draw draw win

Hamburg last 3 home matches: win windraw

Eintracht last 5 league matches: win draw lost win win

Eintracht last 3 away matches: draw draw win

Table positions: Hamburg -4, Eintracht -7

Hamburg home table position: 5

Eintracht away table position: 8

Still in the books for a place in next season’s Champions League, Hamburger SV has a though task on it’s hands as they welcome Eintracht Frankfurt counting for day 23 in the German Bundesliga.

Hamburg managed to put an end to 3 matches without victory, a loss to Borussia Dortmund and 2 draws with Wolfsburg and FC Koln, by winning away to Stuttgart and adding another victory this week in the Europa League, by the slightest of margins in front of dutch side PSV.

The team looks solid on home ground but it’s statistic is not one to frighten their adversaries as they won 6 and ended 3 in draws in all 11 played with a decent goal ratio of 18 scored and 9 conceded.

Eintracht Frankfurt is in a very good position in the German Bundesliga table for the team’s aspirations, 7th spot with a total of 34 points and if all goes to plan a chance to grab a place in next edition of the Europa League.

They may be helped by Hamburg’s participation in other events as Eintracht is left to focus only on the Bundesliga. Their away statistic is decent showing 4 victories and 3 draws in 10 played but the goal ratio is negative as they scored 14 and conceded 15.

My pick:  Hamburger SV to win

what's your pick?

Hamburger SV – Werder Bremen 20 Dec 09

hamburgBetting tips soccerWerder Bremen

Hamburg last 5 league matches:  draw lost draw draw win

Hamburg last 3 home matches:  lost lostdraw

Werder last 5 league matches:  draw win draw draw lost

Werder last 3 away matches: draw win draw

Table positions: Hamburg -5, Werder -4

Hamburg home table position: 5

Werder away table position: 2

A highly charged match in the German Bundesliga with 2 teams from the
upper part of the table sharing the same amount of points as Hamburger
SV welcomes Werder Bremen for a match counting for the 17th leg of the
league.

Hamburg seems to be the most motivated team with it’s coach
disappointed by it’s squad’s recent performances in the Europa League
and putting a great emphasis on this clash.

The team has a modest statistic on it’s own stadium with 4 victories
and 2 draws in 8 matches played so far and a goal record of 13 scored
and no less than 7 conceded. With Borussia Dortmund breathing down their
neck they can’t afford a bed step.

Werder Bremen is in front of Hamburg due to the better goal ration
but with hopes of surpassing Bayern Munchen and installing themselves on
the third spot of the table with a victory here and depending on the
play of results.

The team have yet to taste defeat in away matches as they won 4 and
ended 4 in draws, a very good performance accomplished so far by only 2
other teams in the league and with a very good goal statistic of 18
scored and 6 conceded.

My pick: Hamburger SV to win (over 2.5 goals scored)
