Malaga last 3 away match: lostdrawdraw

Table positions: Real -2, Malaga -19

Real home table position: -1

Malaga away table position: -9

It’s become quite clear that after last week’s results in the Primera Division, Real Madrid’s chances for the trophy are very small but a clear victory against Malaga on Thursday may restore some of their confidence.

Real Madrid now trailing rivals Barcelona by no less than 7 points after they where held to a goalless draw last week by Deportivo La Coruna.

They still maintain a perfect record on home ground with 12 victories in all 12 played with an intimidating goal ratio for anyone as they scored no less than 37 and conceded only 6.

Malaga is one of the clear candidates to relegate this season, but the battle at the bottom is far from over as they stand on the 19th spot of the table with a total of 23 points, just 2 points from safety.

Their away statistic this season in the Primera is as expected a modest one with 3 victories and 3 draws in all 13 played and a -11 in goal ratio, although striking with a high goal scored count of no less than 16, unusual for a team in their position.

My pick:  Real Madrid to win ( over 3.5 goals )

Malaga last 3 away match: drawlostwin

Table positions: Getafe -12 , Malaga -14

Juventus home table position: -6

Malaga away table position: -6

Only 3 matches taking place on Thursday in the Primera Division intermediary round, among them Getafe welcoming Malaga the first.

Although with only 4 points and the 12 spot of the table so far, Getafe is not looking so bad, as in previous season they are alternating good performances at home with poorer displays in away games.

After losing the debut round away to Espanyol, 3-1 the final score, Getafe managed a superb 4-1 victory over newly promoted Levante and ended in a 2 all draw last week in a very difficult trip to Deportivo La Coruna.

Malaga encountered very though opposition in the start of the new season with losses against Valencia and Sevilla but still managed 3 point in their trip to Real Zaragoza.

One fact wort mentioned is that they manage to score in all 3 matches so far although their defense seems to be the weakest point.

My pick:  Getafe to win ( over 2.5 goals )

Malaga last 5 league matches: lost win draw win win

Malaga last 3 away matches: lost win win

Table positions: Barcelona -1, Malaga -12

Barcelona home table position: 2

Malaga away table position: 9

With the crushing victory over Racing Santander last week, Barcelona has maintained it’s 2 point advantage over Real Madrid at the top of the Primera Division and now welcomes a Malaga team in full form.

Barcelona with busy schedule as they played this week against VfL Stuttgart in the Champions League and managed a 1-1 draw that puts them in the driver’s seat for the return leg and the qualification in the next phase of the competition.

In the Primera Division they cannot afford any missed steps as with the loss against Atletico Madrid they allowed Real to close the gap. The team’s statistic on home ground is impressive with 10 victories and 1 draw in all 11 matches played and a superb goal ratio of 32 score with only 7 conceded so far, a record that would overarm any opponent, nonetheless one from the middle of the table as the case here.

Malaga is on the 12th spot of the table with a total of 27 points but the team is not without worries as the relegation zone is joust 7 points bellow the. With a awful season so far, the team managed impressive results in the last month with 3 victories and one draw in the last 4 matches played with victims such as Atletico Madrid and Deportivo La Coruna.

Although they managed to win the last 2 matches played away, they remain the only victories so far for them whilst on the road with another 5 draws in 11 matches played and neutral goal ratio of 15 scored and conceded.

My pick:  Barcelona to win (over 2.5 goals)
