Barcelona last 3 home matches: winwinwin

Osasuna last 5 league matches: drawlostdrawlostlost

Osasuna last 3 away matches: lostlostlost

Table positions: Barcelona - 2, Osasuna -13

Barcelona home table position: 2

Osasuna away table position: 8

With both the giants of Spanish football winning in the last round, Barcelona is still trailing Real Madrid due to an inferior goal ration and will push to profit from Osasuna’s poor form to claim all 3 points in the hope that Getafe will steal at least one point from their direct adversaries.

Barcelona is once again displaying a great form but things at the top of the Primera Division are complicated, 68 points for the, the same amount as Real but second due the goal ratio where their adversaries have 2 more scored.

The Catalan side has scored no less than 11 goal in the last 3 matches played both in the domestic league and the Champions League, with 4 of them in the last round away to Racing Santander and as far as the home record goes they have 12 victories and only one draw in all 13 played.

Osasuna is falling rapidly in the overall charts with their last victory dating back to the 7th of February, that’s almost 2 months without the taste of victory and this can be revealed by the 13th spot they now hold with a total of just 31 points, 8 above the relegation line.

In spite of these facts, the team’s away statistic is rather decent for their position with 4 victories and 2 draws in 14 played but with defeats in all last 3 played whilst traveling.

My pick:  Barcelona to win

Valencia last 5 league matches: winlostdrawlostdraw

Valencia last 3 away matches: winlostlost

Table positions: Atletico -2, Valencia -3

Atletico home table position: 2

Valencia away table position: 2

A very interesting match on Monday and the last of day 26 in the Spanish Primera Division as 2 rivals go head to head in an attempt to distance themselves from the other.

Both teams have a total of 31 points and before the leg started they where ranked 10 and 11, with Atletico Madrid in the better position due only to the goal ratio that is joust slightly better than that of their adversaries.

Atletico Madrid is far from expectation and the hopes that the team had at the beginning of the season and their attempt of claiming a spot in an European tournament in the summer are very slim. Their statistic in home matches is modest with only 6 victories and 3 draws in all 12 played but a better goal ratio with 24 scored and 17 conceded showing a good offense and open strategy which leads also to more goals received.

Osasuna has taken a plunge in ranking these past weeks as they where unable to win any of the past 4 matches played, managing only 2 points from them in draws against Real Valladolid and Getafe on home ground.

The team’s statistic in away matches is poor with only 4 victories to their name and 2 draws in 13 played which lead to a disastrous goal ratio of only 12 scored and no less than 17 conceded.

My pick:  Atletico Madrid to win

Osasuna – Tenerife 7 Feb 10

February 6th, 2010 Comments off

OsasunaBetting tips soccerTenerife

Osasuna last 5 league matches:  draw lost win win win

Osasuna last 3 home matches:  lost drawwin

Tenerife last 5 league matches:  lost lost draw draw lost

Tenerife last 3 away matches: lost lost draw

Table positions: Osasuna -9, Tenerife -19

Osasuna home table position: 16

Tenerife away table position: 20

Showing a great improvement both in form and results lately in the Spanish Primera Division, Osasuna has climbed up to the 9th spot of the table and with this match against Tenerife they have a very good chance of consolidating their position.

Seems like Osasuna’s main concern now is the domestic league in with they have won the past 3 matches played whilst getting knocked out of the Copa del Rey with 2 defeats at the hand of Racing Santander. 9th spot and a total of 26 points for the team with no chances of advancing this week as next in line Athletic Bilbao has a 4 point advantage but feeling the pressure from 3 followers witch await one missed step to overcome them.

Their record at home is very poor so far with most of their points gathered from trips, in front of the home crowd managing only 3 victories and 3 draws in 9 played with a weak goal ratio of 9 scored and 8 conceded.

Tenerife seems to be destined for the second league in Spain, 19th spot of the table and a total of 17 points they still have chances of salvation as they are only one point from the safe zone but their recent results do not give much hope.

They have yet to win any matches whilst traveling and gathered only 2 points in 9 matches played away with a disastrous goal ratio of only 6 scored and no less than 23 conceded.

My pick: Osasuna to win
