Primera Division table positions: Sevilla - 5, Bilbao - 9

Round 12 of the Primera Division with Sevilla hosting Athletic Bilbao on Sunday for one of the most interesting fixtures of the day.

Sevilla is falling rapidly in the standings as they failed to win any of the last four games in the competitions, managing 3 draws and a defeat only to end up on the 5th spot of the table with a total of 18 points.

Similar situation for them in home matches, a two all draw against Santander and a painful 1-2 defeat against Granada in their last two played.

Athletic Bilbao on the other hand has a great morale after managing to grab one point from champions Barcelona in a two all spectacular draw last week.

They are currently on the 9th spot of the table with a total of just 14 points in all 11 played, due in part by their poor performances in away games.

My pick: Sevilla to win ( under 2.5 goals )

Primera Division table positions: Sevilla - 17, Granada - 14

Closing match of round 10 in the Spanish Primera Division and the only fixture to be played on Monday as Sevilla will welcome Granada.

Sevilla currently on the 5th spot of the table with a total of 17 points, flowed closely by Espanyol but with no room to advance as Valencia is 4 points above them after most of the weekend games where played.

They failed to win any of their last two games, achieving a positive result as they held Barcelona to a goalless draw but the lost 2 points against Racing Santander.

Granada on the last spot of the table, the newly promoted team is almost sure of returning in the second division as they managed to gather only 5 points in all 9 games played.

Only one victory for them so far against Villarreal early in the start of the campaign but overshadow by recent results with 3 defeats in the past 4 games.

My pick: Sevilla to win ( over 2.5 goals )

Primera Division table positions: Barcelona - 1, Sevilla - 4

Very interesting fixture in the Primera Division on Saturday as the mighty Barcelona welcome Sevilla in the closing game of the day.

Barcelona seems to be back to the form that it’s displayed in the past few years with five consecutive victories both in the Primera and the Champions League.

No less than 16 goals scored in the past 5 played and not a single goal conceded makes them clear favorites here especially with such great competition at the top of the table.

Sevilla is currently 4th in the standings with a total of 15 points, just two bellow their adversaries and just one from third in line Real Madrid.

They are a very strong team on home pitch but whilst playing away they show real gaps as they failed to win any of their trips this season in the competition.

My pick: Barcelona to win ( under 2.5 goals )

Table positions: Sevilla -7, Zaragoza -17

Sevilla home table position: -9

Zaragoza away table position: -17

A good opportunity for Sevilla on Sunday to make an important jump in the Primera Division chart if they defeat relegation threatened Real Zaragoza.

Sevilla with a disappointing season so far, only the 7th spot for them with a total of 42 points, no less than 12 handicap from the last spot that leads into the Champions League next season.

They are a strong team on home ground recently as they managed 2 victories and a draw against the mighty Barcelona in the last 3 played in the competition.

Real Zaragoza is just above the relegation zone, with only one point separating them from Malaga and a series of though matches to follow this one.

They managed only one victory this season of the Primera Division in away matches and no less than six draws in all 14 played with a negative goal balance of 7 scored whilst conceding 17.

My pick: Sevilla to win ( under 2.5 goals )

Table positions: Sevilla -7, Gijon -17

Sevilla home table position: -11

Gijon away table position: -15

Intermediary round in the Spanish Primera Division with 2 matches on Tuesday, last of which will face two struggling teams, Sevilla welcoming Sporting Gijon.

Sevilla in a difficult position as they managed only one victory in the last 5 matches played in the league, standing on a very modest 7th spot before the Monday matches played off.

No great results on home ground either with only 6 victories and 3 draws in all 13 matches played with a goal balance of 20 scored and 16 conceded, a very high amount for home matches.

Sporting Gijon felt 2 spots in the table after their goalless draw against Zaragoza this weekend sitting on a precarious 17th spot, only one point above the crowded relegation zone.

They have managed only one victory in away matches played in the Primera Division this season, finishing 5 others in draws from all 12 played with an awful goal ratio of only 9 scored and no less than 18 conceded.

My pick: Sevilla to win ( over 2.5 goals )

Real home table position: -1

Sevilla away table position: -5

Interesting match in the Spanish Primera Division on Sunday as Real Madrid welcomes Sevilla as the Spanish giants try to close the gap from leaders Barcelona.

Real Madrid showing a very good for in all competitions involved managing 8 victories in the last 9 matches played, the only one defeat suffered at the hands of rivals Barcelona in a 5-0 trashing.

Impeccable home pitch statistic so far with 7 victories out of the 7 matches played in the Primera Division on Santiago Bernabeu and a crushing goal ratio of 25 scored and only 3 conceded.

Sevilla experiencing a very modest season as they hold only the 11 th spot in the table with a total of just 20 points and more importantly suffering 4 straight defeats in the competition.

Taking into account results in Europa League the team has failed to win any of the past 7 matches from which they lost no less than 6.

My pick: Real Madrid to win ( over 2.5 goals )

The race is still on in Group J of the Europa League with 3 teams involved in the battle for the top 2 spots as we enter the last round of the group phase.

Unbelievable form for Sevilla lately in all competitions as the Spanish side lost it’s last 5 matches both in the Primera Division and Europa League.

They are currently second in the group with a total of 9 points, 2 behind leaders PSG and just one above their current adversaries Borussia Dortmund.

Borussia Dortmund in fine form on all fronts as they lead the German Bundesliga and after a poor start they have been able to recover in UEL as well.

No less than 6 straight victories for them in all competition but their main focus is no doubt the internal competition as they lost against Sevilla in the Europa League earlier in the season on home ground.

My pick: Borussia Dortmund to win ( over 2.5 goals )

Table positions: Sevilla -5, Mallorca -10

Sevilla home table position: -9

Mallorca away table position: -13

A very interesting match in the Spanish Primera Division on Sunday as Sevilla is rising through the ranks and welcomes Mallorca in an important game for both.

Sevilla started to steady rise in the Primera Division table after a poor start and now shows a great form with 3 victories in the last 4 matches of the competition and 4 straight victories in all tournaments involved.

A great run for them lately on home games as they managed to win the last 3 played here with a very good goal ratio of no less than 10 scored and 5 conceded.

Mallorca is still struggling and far from the form showed in the last season, no victories for them in the last 2 played as they where defeated by Zaragoza and managed only a goalless draw at home against Deportivo La Coruna.

Only one victory and one draw for Mallorca in all 5 matches played away in the competition with a awful goal ratio of 5 scored and no less than 10 conceded.

My pick: Sevilla to win ( over 2.5 goals )

Sevilla home table position: -12

Valencia away table position: -3

Very interesting match on Monday in the Spanish Primera Division as Sevilla and Valencia will close round 10 of the competition.

Sevilla is showing signs of recovery with it’s form improving in the latest matches as they managed 4 victories in the last 5 played in all competition but has yet to improve in the Primera Division standings.

Only the 8th spot for them so far and although they are showing great football on home ground they are losing valuable points in away matches.

After holding on to the top spot of the charts in the start of the season, Valencia now felt to the 4th position as they where surpassed by giants Real Madrid and Barcelona with the surprising Villarreal as the latest addition to the top spots fight.

No victories for them in the last 3 matches played in the competition but a great morale boosting victory this week against Rangers in the Champions League.

My pick: Sevilla to win ( over 2.5 goals )

Table positions: Barcelona -3 , Sevilla -6

Barcelona home table position: -12

Sevilla away table position: -6

Very interesting match in the Spanish Primera Division on Saturday and one that can prove decisive when the season closes as raining champions Barcelona welcome Sevilla.

Barcelona picking up speed after a modest start with 4 victories in the last 5 matches of the league but still trailing Real Madrid by 1 point in the table.

Easy victory for them in the Copa del Rey this week against Ceuta just what they needed to take on a very though opponent as Sevilla is.

Sevilla is still struggling to climb up the charts as they managed only 14 points in the first 8 matches played in the Primera Division but still showing great gaps in defense proven by the 11 goals conceded.

Poor form and results for them in away matches so far as they lost their last 2 trips of the competition to Hercules and Sporting Gijon.

My pick: Barcelona to win ( over 2.5 goals )
