Last round in the German Bundesliga with Bayern Munchen already Champions and today’s host, Werder Bremen on their way to claim the third spot and enter the Champions League next season.

With a total of 60 points, this is as high as Werder Bremen can go as they have a 4 points gap from second Schalke 04 but face threats from next in line Leverkusen which sits just 2 points below and Borussia Dortmund that has a 3 point gap but better results in the direct matches, making this game against Hamburger SV a crucial one.

With all the matches taking place at the same time in the Bundesliga this one is the crucial one for the outcome of the table at the end as second Schalke 04 welcomes third in rank Werder Bremen.

Schalke 04 remains the only team that can rob Bayern Munchen of the championship title, with a total of 64 points they are behind the German giants only due to the goal ratio but with an equal amount of points they will finish second as they have inferior results in direct matches.

Their form is very good with 3 victories in the last 5 matches played buy Werder Bremen is in full force as well. Schalke’s home statistic reveals 11 victories and 2 draws in all 16 played with a good goal ratio of 29 vs 13.

With Werder Bremen in a very good form and climbing consistently up the Bundesliga table they are to welcome FC Koln on Saturday in a match that might prove more difficult than at first glance.

Werder Bremen managed to climb up the third spot of the table with a very good chance now in getting a Champions League spot for the summer. The 2 teams at the top, Bayern Munchen and Schalke have quite some distance now and Werder will most probably aim to consolidate their spot as they face stiff opposition from Leverkusen, Borussia Dortmund and even Stuttgart.

They have won the last 3 matches played on home ground and showed a great appetite for offensive with no less than 11 goals scored in them but their statistic is still bearing the marks of the first part of the season with 7 victories and 5 draws in 15 played.

FC Koln is on the 11th spot of the table and in a very relaxed position as with a total of 37 points they have no worries for relegation but no hopes in claiming a spot in an European tournament as well.

With Werder Bremen out of the race for the championship title of the Bundesliga, the team’s main focus is a Champions League spot now at 5 point distance but for this all matches are crucial including this against an always uncomfortable Freiburg team.

With a total of 48 points in 29 matches played, Werder Bremen’s only objective still standing this season is a third spot in the table occupied now by Bayer Leverkusen but with Borussia Dortmund above them their task is very difficult and one thing is sure, the team that will avoid making mistakes will probably claim it and have their go in the UCL preliminaries.

With their loss in the last round at Dortmun their chances have fallen dramatically and with an modest home ground statistic of 6 victories and 5 draws in 14 played even a team like Freiburg will push for it’s claim to at least one point.

Freiburg is in a very dangerous position, currently only the 16 spot which leads to a knock-out to stay in the Bundesliga and with the team’s current form a very good chance of falling even more, much to Hannover’s delight.

The team seems to be performing better in away matches as they managed to win 4 and end 3 in draws compared to the 2 victories and 4 draws at home but their goal ratio is still disastrous, 19 scored and 27 conceded.

Coming out of a very difficult period for them in terms of results, Werder Bremen is once again in the books for a spot in next season’s European tournament but can’t afford any missed steps especially against lower ranked teams like Bochum.

Werder Bremen managed 3 victories in the last 5 matches played in the Bundesliga, curiously all in away games as at home they finished in draws against though opposition such as Leverkusen and Stuttgart. With this good run they have landed a 6th spot in the table and a total of 42 points, joust one under 5th Hamburger SV and 3 from 4th Borussia Dortmund, 2 of their most likely candidate for for this part of the standings.

The team’s home statistic is very poor, after no less than 12 matches in front of their supporters they gathered only 17 points from 4 victories and 5 draws losing the rest of 5 and displaying a modest goal ratio of 21 scored and 16 conceded, more than one goal received per game.

Bochum is falling dangerous in the table, ending up on the 14th spot before the start of this leg with a total of 27 points, only 4 above Hannover and the danger zone.  More important is the fact that their form has taken a big plunge with no victories in the last 4 matches played in the Bundesliga and losing the last 2 with Wolfsburg and Borussia Dortmund, nonetheless very competitive sides.

Their away statistic strikes as very decent for a team with their problems showing no less than 4 victories and 3 draws in 13 played but not completed with a good goal ratio as they managed to score only 11 and conceded no less than 20 thaws making me belive that this match will be one with quite a few goals.

A highly charged match in the German Bundesliga with 2 teams from the

Hamburg seems to be the most motivated team with it’s coach
disappointed by it’s squad’s recent performances in the Europa League

An important match in the German Bundesliga configuration at the top
of the table as Werder Bremen trails leaders Leverkusen by only one
point and last season’s champions, Wolfsburg, seem to have regained some
of their strength in the last few rounds.

Werder Bremen is in good form in the competition, with only one game
lost so far and that in the very first round of the new season at home
with Frankfurt.

Their statistics at home and away are balanced and the team is
performing well on both fronts. On the home pitch they managed to obtain

Borussia Dortmund and lost that single game of the campaign.

Wolfsburg has a slow start to the campaign with no less than 3
