Interesting fixture in the Bundesliga as round 19 of the season is underway this weekend with Bayern Munchen welcoming Wolfsburg on Saturday.

Bayern Munchen is still leading the Bundesliga table with a total of 37 points, same as it’s followers Borussia Dortmund and Schalke 04 but with a superior goal balance.

They suffered a major setback last week when they lost 3-1 away to M’gladbach, a painful defeat for the leaders and also a good reminder that nothing is decided in this very interesting championship.

Wolfsburg, on the other had, is experiencing a very modest season, only the 9th spot for them as they managed to gather just 23 points in all 18 games played.

They managed a victory over Koln last week but by the slightest of margins with a goal late in the 78′ minute, revealing that the team is still in poor form especially in the offensive.

Bundesliga with round 16 this weekend and a couple of interesting matches to be played on Saturday, among the Werder Bremen welcoming Wolfsburg.

Werder Bremen with a slight advantage over their rivals as they head into this game. Their form has been far from perfect with no less than 3 defeats in their previous 4 games played and a current 5th spot in the Bundesliga table as they total 26 points.

Their home play so far is vastly superior in terms of results that the overall, Werder Bremen managing to win 4 out of the past 5 home games showing a powerful defense.

Interesting match and a very hard one to predict as Hoffenheim welcomes Wolfsburg in the last round of the Bundesliga with different objectives all together for the teams.

Hoffenheim is currently on the 9th spot of the table with a total of 43 points, no hopes for a spot in an European event and no threats for relegation.

With so many teams close together mid table, their final spot can vary from 7th to 13 depending on all results registered this Saturday. Their home statistic in a modest one with 7 victories and 5 draws in all 16 played whilst the goal balance shows 27 scored and 18 conceded.

Round 25 in the German Bundesliga with second place holders Bayer Leverkusen welcoming a struggling Wolfsburg team.

After a 2 all draw last week against Werder Bremen, Bayer Leverkusen is trying to keep their current table position as they are just 2 points above next in line Hannover 96.

They have managed 2 victories in the last 3 matches played in the competition and as far as the trophy goes the distance is great. Home games this season have not been very rewarding for them as their statistic is rather poor here with only 5 victories and 4 draws in all 12 played.

With the one all draw in Russia, Wolfsburg is certainly thinking of avoiding Sevilla’s faith in the Champions League and end up with a victory against Rubin Kazan.

Wolfsburg is showing an extraordinary form in all competitions, after the unfortunate first part of the season which left permanent marks especially in the Bundesliga where with only the 8th spot for now there’s little hope of claiming any places in the summer qualifications for an European tournament.

After an unbelievable string of 13 consecutive matches without victory, Wolfsburg managed to win 5 out of the last 6 played, their only interruption was suffers away to Rubin Kazan in a very close and difficult match.

With the Russian championship starting last week, current champions Rubin Kazan where quick to claim top spot with a 2-0 victory over Lokomotiv Moskva and travel to Wolfsburg with a good morale in consequence. The team will certainly report itself to CSKA and try to duplicate their performance by eliminating a favorite of the competition.

The away games have caused them quite some problems in Europe with the last 2 ending in defeat away to Inter and more surprisingly only a draw against Hapoel Tel Aviv.

Although a goalless draw will see Wolfsburg advance, this risky strategy is not what we would expect from them and with all hope gone in the Bundesliga this competition remains a good opportunity to show their real force.

Dramatic change for Wolfsburg in terms of play and results lately in all competitions as the team seems to have left behind their poor season so far and a new chance to advance and build on their position is this match against Bochum in the Bundesliga on Saturday.

Their victory over Schalke 2 weeks ago marked the end of the incredible 10 game streak without victory for Wolfsburg. The good results continued with a victory by the slightest of margins against Hannover in the domestic league but also the trashing of Villarreal in Europa League that meant the German side advanced in the next phase of the tournament.
