A very though match in the Champions League final preliminary round as Russian giants Zenit ST. Petersburg takes on French side Auxerre.
This might be the toughest match of this stage of the competition and the stakes could not be greater, access to the Champions League group stages.
Zenit had a difficult time in the previous round as they managed to defeat Romanian challengers Unirea Urziceni by one goal to nil in aggregate after a goalless draw away and the slightest of victories on home ground.
This will be the first match in the competition for Auxerre, which managed to grab the 3rd spot of the Ligue 1 last year and qualified for this last stage.
Not a great start for them in the domestic league as they managed only 2 point from the first 2 matches played home with Lorient and away to Brest showing lack of determination and some gaps in defense as they conceded 3 goals.
